Hi Dave, Haven't you been busy! How do you get your brassicas that far on already. I'm not risking my beans and courgettes out for another week or so. Mind you I'm a bit further north.
All the same my strawberries are in full flower already.
I start my brassicas off in the cold greenhouse, one seed to a module in a seed tray insert.
Pot them into 3" pots when they've got the first set of true leave and then grow them on outside until about 6"-8" high before planting in their final positions.
Planting out with a good root ball gives them a fine start in life & helps them grow throw the club root that I suffer badly from.
Just doing maintenance on the plot at the moment, keeping it ship-shape, then next week I hope to start another phase of planting with more brassicas, beans & sweetcorn to go in.
